Press Release Summary: Sound Sanctuary Head across the Uk on 1st tour for new album release \"Dust\"
Press Release Body: Hailing from the lush rolling downs of Kent, Toby, Dave, Andy and Steve; better known as band Sound Sanctuary are just what you might expect from the name and place; a laid back, chilled out, warm summers day in the countryside scattered with acoustic guitars, rolling funk basslines, lazy hip hop inspired beats and what can only be described as the harmonious voices of angels singing songs about girls, love and life swirling above it all.
Evolving out of occasional jam sessions at parties the band truly came together in 2003 when hip hop producers Bombay Monkey invited them to record at the Lo-Tek studios down the road in East Sussex. Based in the beautiful surroundings of Ashdown Forest, famed home of Winnie the Pooh, the studio's idyllic setting matched perfectly with the resulting music.
Lacing the band's acoustic harmonies with nuances of hip hop and electronica the end result is a blissful soundscape variously compared to contemporary acts like Zero 7, Gomez and Air as well as legends such as Simon and Garfunkel or Crosby, Stills and Nash.
The band became something of a feature on the London circuit regularly playing at trendy venues like the Rock Garden, Acoustic Lounge, Big Secret, Sound and W14 and have picked up playouts and support from BBC Radio 2\'s Lynn Parsons (\"The perfect soundtrack to lazy summer afternoons\") and XFM\'s Nick Luscombe (\"I\'m totally into this, I\'m going to be playing it on the radio and at home for the rest of the summer\"), suggesting an ever brightening future ahead of them.
About to tour across the south of England promoting current album Dust the band are planning to record a new album through summer before a full UK tour at the end of this year. This is the first chance anyone outside of London or Kent has had the chance to see them perform and if your musical tastes include chilled out acoustic then this is not to be missed!
